You did GOOD! That is one fine looking and shooting rifle, my friend. I hope my stock comes out that well. Maybe I can send it to you to finish.
I'm glad your efforts have paid off and I'm sure you are proud of that rifle and all your hard work.

Get the RCBS trimmer with a three way cutting head and trim, chamfer and deburr all in one operation. One shell holder works for fired and unfired cases and the adjustments will let you trim to any length. No need for files or anything else. Case mouths are square and ready to load. Just change the ...

You only bought one pound of RE-10X???? I just can't see why. If you are loading 32's then use 26.0 gr. If you are loading 35's then use 25.5 gr. If you are loading 39 or 40's use 25.1 gr. And, if you are loading 45's use 24.5 gr. This is the one powder that shoots all the bullets I load well. I wil...

Sometimes I have trouble with the priming rod not going down after seating the primer. The fix is to take the primer tray off and move the two piece plastic guide back and forth until the rod goes up and down without binding. It just seems to be a second nature thing when I'm setting it up, now. I d...

Canis Latrans Right out of the bag I full length size my Winchester brass so they are all the same outside dimension to start with. Then I trim all to the same length. This makes all the cases have the same neck length which is a must for neck turning. The blade on my Forster neck turning tool is s...

I can't argue with Rick about Leupold scopes. I have owned many in my lifetime. I have never needed warranty work on any of them and that in itself says a lot. I would like to offer another suggestion on a scope that is less well known and being less recognized might have a cost advantage. Mueller ...

95roadking I use the small BernzOmatic torch pictured below. The 3/8 in. socket driver bit chucked up in the drill allows me to spin the case. I can change cases with a leather work glove on my left hand. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e385/corvettez07/111-1101_IMG.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com...

I don't have confidence in the .204 Winchester brass as it is in the bagged condition. I had a lot of split necks before I started annealing them. I guess that you have to make a decision depending on what you intend to do with them. If I was going to load them for a hunting trip, I wouldn't worry a...

trdtoy In your by line it states that one of your accomplishments is a doe in the head at 175 yards. Doesn't that seem a little long for head shot taken in the field? One of the problems with taking a .204 in the deer fields is that in the heat of the moment you start taking shots that you should p...

I wouldn't work up in .5 gr. increments because the steps are too large. I would start somewhere close to minimum and work up in .2 grain increments. Pressures can build fast and you might miss the best load. I think you have the general idea of how it's done. Pick a powder, bullet, case and primer ...
